Fragile Memories is a series of digital collage artworks, created out of a collection of discarded vintage books repainting faded memories of an era long gone. This series of  artworks memorialize the significance of the original books while highlighting the concept that there is beauty to be found in the most unlikely of places and that decay, loss and death can bring about creative transformation and rebirth.

Florence is my favourite city in the world and I was fortunate to do my Masters in Graphic Design from Florence Design Academy in Florence, Italy. This map illustrates my wander and wonder in this city. This map was later picked up by BBC travel.

This is a unique piece inspired by the world's first adhesive postage stamp designed in Great Britain in 1840. This historic stamp named Penny Black - black in colour and valued at 1 penny was the door to mass communication. I was fascinated by the history of this stamp and wanted to create an artwork celebrating the significance of this design in history. Click on image for full view. 

My experimental video is about the rise of domestic abuse worldwide and especially in India due to families being forced to spend more time together during the COVID-19 lockdowns. The darkness created by conflicts and abuse by family members who once promised love, protection and hopes – reduced to nothing but crumbled fear, grief and anger. 3D collage made for Finding Treasures in the Discarded open Mail Art call for the @kanyerartcollection. I interpreted the Collage in a tin can open call in an Indian context and put my analogue collage inside a stainless steel 'dabba' which is widely used in every Indian household for storing food and other stuff.

An on-going personal creative and research project initiated during the 9 week virtual art residency with multiple artists around the world working with unique analogue collage techniques and vintage photographs.
